I noticed the sfg issue as well; it appears there are blind nuts in the wing tip? and those nylon thumb screws seem a bit small...not sure if the blind nuts are 3mm or 2-56 or ?...gonna check at the hardware store when I have time.

correct! i thought maybe it was just my plane, but I had one thumb screw that was stripped when i got the plane, and when flying, I threw it into a tumble and one sfg flew off, even the screws that do bite dont seem very strong and are "loose" in there, Let me know what you find. thanks!

Do you guys like this plane better with the sfg's or without? I don't want to cut holes in the wing if I don't have too.

The nylon screws are 2mm i think. they don't tighten up very well. might try to find an aluminum option. but this plane flys very well without the sfg's as well. i lost one in flight and started flying without the sfg's and didn't notice any bad habits or decrease in flight characteristics. I remember readying that fiprob doesn't use sfg's on any of the edges because he thinks that they don't need them. i'm starting to agree. want to get more flights on the 74 without them to see if it does better.

When taxiing, hold full up elevator to help hold the tail down.

I do, its still a little bouncy, lol I am just used to the little planes I guess (this plane is big for me, lol)

Lol, when I lost one in flight I couldn't even tell, but I didn't get much time with them on to really tell.

Should require holding down elevator against the ballooning lift of the flaps. At least that's my experience in overwing Cessnas on approach with around 20.

I have a cub and have flap elev mix but in a such a slow (horizontal harrier ) i'm curious if he gets any ballooning.
