Will a 25c 2200mah 6s battery be enough for this plane amp wise? I have 3s 2200mah 25c batteries and was going to use these in series. The motor I would use would be the 4315-480.

Yea I was trying to save some cash. I was going to use the 4315 which is heavier than the 3620 that people have been using on here with 2200 so I thought it would be ok. Idk, I'm just planning ahead.

I'm more than ok running gens ace 3s 2200 25c packs in mine. but they are well know to be conservative on their ratings. i bought some 2600 55c gens ace packs and could not tell a difference in punch or power. seemed to be exactly the same when flying them right after the 2200's. the 4315 will help you not to have to run as much noes weight. i'm running the 3620 and if i ran my packs against the firewall i would not have had to add any weight. i wanted the packs farther back so i added two ounces of weight to the nose. Hope that helps.

I'm kind of new to electricks and I'm using the recomended hacker a40-10s 14 pole motor. Is it true i should run high timming with a high pole motor? I'm running the cc ice 100 and i also have the castle link. What should i set my timming to? I have the yellow edge and making a custom battery box for it.

Just got finished with the maiden flight. Awesome! A click here and there, flew straight as an arrow. Hovered almost effortlessly. Of course it was 8:30 in the morning with absolutely no wind. For those that are worried about CG and weight. This is my setup: motrofly 3620 480kv with 75Ice lite esc. I ran 2- 3s 2200s 25c on series. I took the advice of fellow RC Groupers and used 3.75inches from the leading edge and added exactly 2.5oz to the firewall. Awesome!

DM-3620 Weight: 230 grams (8.1 oz) (not sure if this is AUW or just the motor) DM-4315 Weight: 280 grams (9.86 oz.) Weight: with Hub, Xmount, and 4mm connectors, 323 grams (11.4 oz.) Option to buy with the fiberglass X mount brings the motor weight down to 267 grams, (9.4 ounces) and the weight with all hardware down to 300 grams, (10.6 ounces) So I actually went with the lightweight option on my 4315-480...seems like that was "about" the right amount of weight to add (compared to the 3620). I'll also make sure to mount the motor as far forward as possible. We'll see how it works out. |
