i went with yellow just for the fact that i have a red 71 and a red 57 and other red planes. needed some variety. I do not regret it for one second. I have not seen a picture yet that does the yellow justice. it looks great in person. i dont know why the color doesn't seem to come through in pictures.

I hear the yellows are sold out. Someone at the field wanted yellow and he said he couldn't get one.

Well, now that I've ordered mine, I can tell you where you can find one:

adchobbystore.com

I just ordered mine. Not sure how many are left, or when they will be back in stock.
Judging by other airframe leadtimes, not any time soon!
3DHS still has red ones in stock...but not the yellow ones!

Go Yellow!!! woo hoo!

5s 4000-4400 won't have to add nearly as much weight, if any at all.

power is about the same maybe just a little more, amp draw reduces a bit with the increase in voltage so overall watts is fairly comparable with a slight nod to the 5s setup.

Hey rob, I know you are a hacker dealer, how do you feel about the hacker a50 14xs? A little heavier then the recommended I believe, I would run it on 5s , do u think it would be good, or do u think its too much weight?

I was looking at that a couple nights ago. Weight-wise it would help, you might have to run a 16x8+/- to get the power - 5s 4000 +/-

The A40-10S is 8.5oz +/- so you would be adding about 2oz., which wouldn't hurt

The A40-10L is another one I was looking at for 5s. It.s about 9.75 oz., probably a 16x8 as well

A question for those that have the new Edge, and have/had the original 55" Edge....how do they compare or how are they different (other than the obvious size etc.) I have the 55" and love it, so, wondering about this...

ha ha, if i get this plane, I'm gonna use the hacker a50-14xs or the recommended torque motor, what do you think H.D? what would you do, if there is a need to add some weight, I rather have it in the power system, now if I had the light weight components already, then i would just add the weight....

Is there much difference between the recommended Hacker A40-14S and the Torque 4016-T500 they recommend on the 3DHS website if you wanted to go the 5S route. We have a guy at our field who flies an EF 60" Extra with the Torque motor on 5S 3600 and the batteries come down barely warm so it sounds like it should work well with the 58" Edge.

Still trying to figure out if 4S or 5S is the better option.
