Changes for the 2012 period of the contest
  • The creators of the multi-rotor that wants to enter a particular category has to enter him/her-self by posting in this thread. Nobody can enter others on their behalf.
  • Removed the "most durable" category as it's difficult to measure and compare durability.
  • Added a new category (V) for this year: Furthest Distance -- How far can you travel with your Multi Rotor, round trip (will require FPV).

Each posting should include
  • Build Specs: Motors, ESCs, Battery, Flight Controller, Frame, Propellers
  • Weight specs: lipo weight, frame weight (everything else besides lipo), AUW (lipo weight + frame weight).
  • Pictures and/or Video that proves the entry
  • When you post, state the category in which you are entering

Prizes & Sponsors

We are working on assembling great prizes from multi-rotor equipment manufacturers. If you are a multi-rotor equipment manufacturer and would like your product to be featured as one of the prizes for the Mr. Lifter Contest through the entire year of 2012, please contact us. Current sponsors include DroidWorx and FPV Manuals.

Notices

Fly responsibly when creating your entries. As this contest pushes the envelope of what is possible with a multi-rotor, failed attempts are likely, making it even more important than usual to be careful and responsible.

He has logged in recently though. Too bad he's not updating this, I was following it because seeing the different feats was pretty cool, even though I've only just built my first quad and am in no position to set any records right now.

Sorry guys for my slow response here!! Things have been crazy bussy. I will contact the individual top place finishers and will organize the prize distribution.

Thanks for a great year of multi-rotor competition.

It would be really nice to have the first page updated, and the entries put into the category slots instead of this thread just being dropped or just winning builders privately contacted. For everyone who entered, and for anyone looking at this thread for reference and idea's on building a multirotor of their own.
