Question
Xaircraft Hexa Frame

Hello!
What do you think of Xaircraft Hexa Frame Fiber glass plus plastic version – 106 USD. Is it durable (especially legs)? Is 1 kg payload possible?

As I understand, you can easily go from Hexa to Quad and back (just need to buy some plates).

I posted some info for this frame on my website. Yes, the arms are very durable and I like the over-sized landing skids. I don't know how much it can lift but I would imagine it is dependent on your motor and prop combination and not the strength of the frame. I purchased my frame from cnchobbyhelicopter but goodluckbuy is now carrying them as well along with plenty of inexpensive replacement parts with free shipping. I would say the fiberglass plates are more than strong enough, however, the fiberglass pipes for the base of the landing skids have a very thin wall and developed fractures from snapping them in. Instead I replaced them with a dowel rod which has worked just fine. The actual legs of the skids are very shock absorbent and somewhat flexible. Both the legs and loading pipes are mounted with vibration dampening o-rings inside of an aluminum bracket that attaches to the bottom of the main frame.

This is what I'll get to transfer over my gear from an x650v8, and keep the 2 spare ESC and motors as parts. When I get the AHRSv2 and FC1212-P delivered (and working) I'll set up with this hexa. I may even get the NAZA for it, as Im hearing whispers that there's GPS coming to that (compass at least will be good).
I'd like to know/see more on this hexa.

it has the same size as V650 with two more arms which makes it to hover better than quad with some wind

You cannot use bigger than 10 inch props. Mine has 10mm spare between props.
