Wanted
oX FS/70 Prop size

Can anyone share with me the best prop results you have had on an OS FS/70 Surpass II ? The book gives several but they all appear to be pretty small to me. I have the motor on a Great Planes Revolver 46-55 size. 59in. wingspan and weight of 7lbs.
Appreciate any help .
Bill

I like 13x6-13x7 or maybe 12x8 APC . I use a tach and do not like to rev more than 10,000 rpm on the ground. APC's will normally give you the best performance but they are not very pretty. IMHO
I let the tach and type of plane/flying decide what prop. Large diameter low pitch for larger slower planes and smaller higher pitch for slicker planes like the Revolver

I only use a a 14x6 or 14x8, It's a 4 stroke, they don't like to be revved up. I prop .70 for 8500 to 9000 on the ground, it will do go to 10,000 in the air. 1.20 size prop for 7500.

Thanks,
That is just what I needed. I was tacking around 11000 with the 12-6 they suggested and I felt like that was too high for the 4 stroke.

I had an os 70 FS on a Venus II .40 size. I put an APC 11-11 and it was fast and had plenty of RPM to spare. 12-6 would be a good sport fly prop but on that revolver I would go for speed! 11-11 or 11-10 would be your best bet.
