Dumas Prime Time

A friend has asked me to help him get his Dumas Prime Time model boat sorted. It came without any documentation of any sort.

Would anyone know of a source for the Dumas kits' plans, notes, instructions, etc?

Also, anyone who has built this boat, would you mind attaching photos of your insides of the model showing how you arranged running gear and accessories. I'm just looking for ideas and tips.

Thanks!

Have you tried Dumas? They sent me what I was missing for the Donzi I bought partially built.

Dumas plans,

As above, contact Dumas. Even though that kit was discontinued several years ago, they might still be able to supply you with a set of plans. If it's a Dumas kit, with a fiberglass hull, it's best to make sure it's all there, unless you are a scratch builder. Wish I could help, but I only have a hull. CaptCB

Post a wanted add, and keep checking E-Bay. Maybe you will get lucky, someone probably has one they never built, and might consider selling if the price was right. Don't expect to get it for a steal. CaptCB

The boat is already built. It needs to be refurbished though. Insides are all loose, motor plates and motors loose, etc. I wanted to know more about the construction of the model so I did not run into any snags.

The photo thread from the link posted helped a ton. Lots of internal shots there.

Man what mess. It would almost be less work to build a new one. I have always wanted to build my kit and this gives me inspiration. It is a good looking model even in the shape it is in now. Good luck with it. It is in good hands.

Wow how long has UPS been bouncing that one around? I think the only way to do it justice would be remove everything, test and hope the electronics still work, then slowly rebuild and reinstall everything, Its going to be more work that it would to build the boat from a fresh kit.
Regards,
Gerald.
