Kah , traveling for the holiday will be back on Sunday and give you the measurments .
I am not happy with the thickness or the angle that I installed the gear . I will probably fly them till they die , then get a pair of spring air legs |

Kah , they are 3 & 1/4 but they seem to thin ???? I dont like the look !!
I know why , part of it was I added retracts at the place that the fixed gear was incerted. Problem is they were not at the correct angle for the Dora . Add to the mistake I knew I was buying 85 degree vs 74 from Spring Air , but did not calculate for the initial error plus the 85 degree angles making it twice as obvious that the gear is off !!!. So , if and when they go I will be adding spring air as they have the correct angle for this plane |

I know I am going to try some foam options that are thicker .
I dont know how much these RC Lander retracts can take |

Anything new on your Dora LDM? Same friend of mine that has the Platt/Pica D9 is working on a 1/5th scale Ta-152H. Wingspan is about 112", but is same exact scale size as my ESM D9 with 82.5" so our fuselages will be the exact same size length wise and cowl diameter wise....but man are those wings wide. LOTs and LOTs of lift with wings that big.
Its a laser cut kit setup using Dave Anderson plans......although my friend has reported he's been having to MAKE a lot of the parts himself cuz many of the laser cut parts didnt fit right or weren't useable. I don't remember what kit cutter did it for him. Hes going to use a g62 for motor.....but...hell....would be the perfect electric conversion. Once in the air, it wouldnt need much motor power....could probably thermal it it'd be so light wingloading. Anyhow....here's a shot of one half of the "wing" for my terminator HK aerial http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1766835 |
