Welcome Tom.
Hope to see you around here. Nice to see new guys posting. Keeps us all honest..
Suggestion, add your location information in your set up. It helps in the future.

To all other well wishers...... Thanks for the kudos. I had some good help from Rick and Kevin. Bob was involved too.
Martin and others sent me some nice ideas for a FAQ section and some others sent a nice PM.
You guys made this a enjoyable transition Thank you..

Now.. who's buying the beer tonight? Jurgen?

Also: remember to send me a pic of yourself with your EZ for post 12 before I decide what pic to use. You won't want that.

You give a lot of good advice over at the SkyS thread and it's great to have you here also.
Crack a beer and have a seat. Bunch of good folks here.

Thanks for the compliment Gene. I got my beer open and relaxing the start of a new year.

As for the beer. The first round is on me.

Gene. Can I borrow some cash? I'm a little short right now. 5'7" that is.

Hey all- Eckace1 and I flew Ez's today from a new field we found on the edge of Altoona Iowa.. was pretty windy but we had a great time- video is uploading to you tube and I will post it here in about 45 minutes- We hoisted up a Sony Bloggie, A gopro hero 960, 2 Hobby King wing cams(great little light weight, and cheap, camera) and a #11 key chain cam that ended up dying and not catching anything-
Welcome Vince, Tom...
video is ready- although Eckace1 relates what weather folks are saying about wind- we found it only about half as windy as reported- maybe 20mph

Great stuff, Scott! Looking forward to more cool videos from you guys.

By the way, doing aerial video is how you get sucked into FPV!

Keep up the good work.

Sounds good. You'll find lots of good info from guys on this thread and the "Big FPV" thread. It's a bit complicated, but a lot of fun once you get going with it.

Because of it's light weight and tiny form factor, it can be mounted in almost any place on the airplane. I want to capture video with the plane in view. I also think that the camera impose a fraction of the weight penalty compared to a GoPro or Webbie.

It is prone to the jello effect. The color handling is way bellow average. But, the stills captured are awesome.

It's a great "back up" or "high risk" HD camera and awesome for long range flights, especially with a small plane like the EZ*.

Here's a video taken around the local club field:

Fun stuff. Looks like the "Bloggie" handles the changing light conditions really well. -- JOHN
