I got my FPV1000 DVR connected and recorded a short test. It works slick, but the Fatshark cable proved single-use in the cold. All the video connections cracked and failed. I bought a Sony cable last night and rearranged the connections (cut, strip and solder three coaxial feeds, PIA!), so I'm back in business again.

CL OSD test (2 min 18 sec)

If you have other planes for different flying styles, I suggest you keep the ES1 as is. Otherwise, it is very simple to install ailerons on the stock wings.
well thats why im wondering if bixler 2 wings will fit to the fuse, so i can still keep the stock wings if i dont feel like messing with connectors and stuff, but should i cut some of the rudder off and exstend a new one, and attach that on it? cause my only concern is that the rudder is kinda small.

the 1st FPV flight used regular wingcam as I wasn't confident enough of the outcome to risk $ 92 wingcam II- But i will start using it as the plane is flying well- and I am sort of flying ok-lol

watch in HD if your connection can handle it

That was much fun for me as I witnessed Scotts maiden FPV flight and like you guys say watch the wallet.

If you look at the 11:22 mark you will see my afterburners kick in and Scott had no chance to stay with me

That mishap i had was due to thermal lift from that monster snowbank really that's the truth.

On the EZ1 you could extend the rudder as it will help.
Some here just use a fake credit card that was shipped in the mail for a rudder extension. Some just increase the throws.
Myself I have A EZ with alierons and like how it makes correcting flight much easier and faster so I'm going with that setup.

I have a an EZ1 and bix1 I could see if those 2 interchange if that would help.

I believe it is below 10mph if your CG is correct. It will just glide in nice and smooth unless you try to make a turn.

I know someone who tried to use an air speed tube on a EasyStar knock off. It really didn't work very well. He has moved on to an X8 but still won't use the pito tube for air speed. GPS works better.

I had a peep hole but goggles were down over my eyes- that was a ros fpv launch- the snow sure helped...

Congratulation on busting your FPV cherry. Nice flight and very nice video. It's good to see you both flying in the snow.

It hit 80 today. Almost had to turn on the AC.

We love snow less damage when flying

Snowbanks make great slope sites.
