I broke down and purchased a GoPro Naked camera yesterday. The price has come down to $129.99 so I figured why not.

I am going to use it as a hat cam for now but I will bet putting it on my plane.

So I was wondering besides Velcro what is a good way to securely fasten it to my SS?

Take a look at Scotts and my EZs and you will see how we mount our Gopros.
I think it will be to heavy for a hat cam unless its a hard hat.
Nice price you will love it.
With a wide field of view it isn't the best for a hat cam as we have tried it.

I use blue painters tape, enough for 2-3 loops around the camera and body. It seems to hold pretty well.

Nothing.

The Easystar is so cool! Today it was dead calm and warm. After an initial motor burst of about 30 seconds I floated around a long-long time until my battery almost went down. And I mean the transmitter battery, not the plane's battery.

The key is low weight. AUW 620g enabled me to stay aloft for as long as I wanted. Sorry, no flight footage, but it happened for sure . Next time I'll put a little cam on.
