Hi guys,

do u think use the strong rare earth magnets of HK long the fuselage to keep it joined insted of the glue, could be an idea?

I saw many guys glued with hot glue those magnet on the wings to keep them better joined, i have those magnets and are really so so strong. When u divide the wings, dosent the elapor be stressed from the "power" of the magnets? worry that or the glue cant keep the magnets or the elapor barke in that point.

I hope my bad english explained my doubts

Many thanks
Ale

Hi Ale. I know your brother Pilsner.
Actually those rare earth magnets aren't that rare. I see alot of places selling them.

You can just join the two half's of the fuse and use packing tape all around the seam. It will hold just fine and just cut and remove the tape if you need to get into the fuse. I did this with a couple models I have.

Gluing mine back together now. It's gonna be lighter then before since I'm using low calorie glue.

I was joking with you.

Ale is a type of beer. Pilsner and lager are also. Another joke.

Wait until you meet Bob. He's the biggest joke.

Hello everyone, this is my first post on this thread. Ale, I use these magnets for my fuselages. I glue the magnets with CA. The seam is very strong, and, of course, reversible.

Some say they are discontinued. I don't know why MP would sell both. Heard that Tower will have the version II online real soon.

Just saw this....

Sorry about the delay.

We just got the information from Multiplex about their new Easy Star II (MPU214260).
We are taking backorders now for a late June arrival date at $94.99.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Kind Regards,
Linda

I use the rare earth magnets to hold my wings together. I made small cavities in the edge of the wing where the two meet each other. I then glued a magnet with CA so it was flush with the surface. This way the magnets on each wing touch each other to make a strong bond. I have a total of 8 magnets or 4 pairs.
