I use Height Lock with Position Hold & they have always worked well together plus it does state in the GPS manual:

remember the normal work of Rabbit GPS needs the cooperation of self stability mode, height
lock, magnetic sensor ( CF and heading lock cannot be open), please make these functions have
appropriate switch!

My quad... When the position hold is turned on the sonar automatically locks height.

That was my understanding from the statement in the GPS manual, that the GPS automatically uses the Mag '&' Baro/sonar (Height Lock).

Hence; "they have always worked well together for me".

I have shared my personal experience with you. PH holds altitude exactly. I guess I can upload a video or two if you need proof instead of just trying it. A "Position Hold" that doesn't hold Altitude would be kind of funny though. Anyway, ask Ican, maybe I'm just lucky.

To do what we want it to do yes, but not necessarily all at the same time though. PH needs "self stability, but not HL or magnetic sensor to just sit there and hover. The "GPS" needs that stuff more for RTH and whatnot .

Try to rebind your TX and RX, then test it with other aircraft and make sure that it is functioning before you reconnect it with the rabbit.

Rabbit Night Flying (11 min 7 sec)

I can honestly say, Carefree from rabbit is way better then my simple mode on Crius AIOP
its just not as smooth as the rabbits, and sometimes when you activate crius. its in a different heading,
on rabbit this never happened, D:
i dont know, maybe the calibration, i calibrated my compass more than 5 times,
