Actually we need some detailed pics to prove it's existence, I operate on the "Trust but verify" principle.

The double false swashplate is my term. The pictures look like stacked swashplates but like the ones found on a JXD Drift King. The pictures dont look anything like a standard fixed pitch or collective pitch swash. Just trying to figure out the control mechanism.

Well, my 537 is now showing as having left the USPS sorting facility in New Jersey on its way to my house. If it doesn't update the delivery day or arrive tomorrow, I may break down and buy something at my LHS instead. :-)

I have a few questions for you guys that have had this for a while:

1. Is this mode 2?
2. Does that lower flybar do a good job at replacing the cyclic trims?
3. Is that slider swash reasonably responsive?
4. How is forward speed? Dual rates?
5. Is it more, or less, affected by a light breeze outside?
6. Is battery quick change?
7. Anything breaking so far?
8. Parts supply unlikely? Buy an extra for parts?

Thanks. I am intrigued by this design for such little money.

1. YES.
2. Just fine.
3. YES. Turned out better than expected !
4. No dual rates on it. All 4 directions good results.
5. Never flown outside yet.
6. The fully charged battery last about 8 to 10 min. Takes 40 min to charge.
7. No. I give 5 star for the durability at that price. 100 % proven by myself. You can bend the prop and the flybar without breaking !

8. Just don't step on the heli, give the heli rest after every flight at least 5 to 10 min for the motor and electronics. You will be fine without spare parts. For that price, just buy another one.

Thanks Cheetah. Sounds like a decent heli for the money. Is the battery somewhat 'built-in' or can it be swapped out easily?

HCW-537 received

After ordering at approx 10pm local time on December 27th, I received my 537 from Banggood today. The ol' girl had a rough time in transit, and arrived here in a partially crushed box with a deformed and lopsided skid assembly; no fear though...she flies just fine.

Initial thoughts:
1: This is my first RC "anything", but it flies easily - most of my flying has actually been outdoors in calm conditions.

2: As discussed above, the battery takes approx 40 minutes to charge, and provide 6-7 minutes flying time. Lesson #1: I should've purchased more than one of these to alleviate the gaps between charging and flying.

3: I haven't had any hard crashes - YET - but the little thing seems to be sturdy enough to survive crashes within its operational limitations just fine.

4: The rudder trim on the included transmitter allows you to zero-out any nose drift easily.

5: For $25 I'm hooked...and already planning my next heli-purchase!

The battery is 200mAh. It is very easy to add / solder the micro jst or e-flite type connector. The battery is right under the main rotor. So COG will not be a big problem. I will be doing on mine for sure but maybe next month. Of course the battery is built in but removing 6 screws on the main landing gear will make it open and easy to work. Just cut the battery, solder the connector to the heli, some velcro will be added under between the landing skids and that's all.

Another price hike!

The price on the HCW 537 has increased once again to $29.99, at Banggood.com as this great bargain is being discovered and sales remain brisk it's not surprising the price is climbing also. It's a good time to pick one up while the price is still below $30 shipped.

DT, thanks for the comments !

Yeah they jack up the price 29.99 USD. They should keep it now under 30.00 $ if they want more sale.

Yes, I agree, they don't want to make the mistake of jacking up their prices too much and too quickly, there are lots of very competitive Asia vendors out there with the same business model of wholesale pricing and high volume/trim profit margins, in a blink of the eye, they could price themselves out of the game and lose market share to the next HK based discount house. just like what happened to Best Offer Buy, I don't think anyone on RC Groups is still buying helis from them since they priced themselves out of the game.
