I'm even having trouble figuring out if my Cox plane are "solo Pro" or "solo" or what. I thought that's what this thread was about. Not the 9x per say , but that IS the TX I want to use. Maybe I can grab module from my stock Cox TX and use it somehow?

Your planes are neither Solo nor SoloPro. They have a different chip and different protocol. You can use the module, but that would need analyzing the protocol and makinga new circuit...

I am using the module with my Turnigy 9x, so I'm sure they pair well. PPM timings and channel mapping have to be changed a little depending on whether you have the stock 9x firmware or one of the er9x firmwares.

As far as I know, the new Nine Eagles helis don't use the the nRF24L01+ chip, so this module will not work with the helis released last year.

are you saying you made a module that works with the sp260????

If sp260 = solo pro, yes it will work.

I am using one in my jr pcm 9x II, and it works flawlessly.

You could contact kile, last time I read, he had some boards left.

Unfortunately, he said, he was quitting the hobby.

Who knows shoot him a PM, maybe he'll get back to you (he's a very nice guy).

You could also use the files (first page) to etch a board and put the hex file on it.

And last resort, if none of the above works for you, I could sell you one of the two modules I bought from kile (at the price I bought them + shipping).

The J6 proto was reverse engineered by the Deviation team.

In the sources of the project, you will find all the necesseary (if you are a programer) to adapt Kiles' software to talk to the CYRF6936 the chip that do the communication in the SoloPro 180.

Obviously you should source a CYRF6936 module to replace the Nordic nRF24L01+ that is used to talk to the SoloPro receiver.

It would be cool if a programer was interested in this, since deviation supports not only J6 proto, but dsm2, Walkera proto 2x0x, as well the new Devo protocol from walkera.

Kile's module (don't know if the atmega168 on it as enough memory to support all these protos) could support all or some of these protocols, just with the CYRF6936 transceiver module.

I opened my tx before that I found that post.
I was thinking that it was easy like the frsky module.
I was hoping that I can remove the small pcb and take out the signal from the trainer port of my futaba....but after reading I am not sure anymore...
Can somebody confirm or not? I do not care if I destroy the tx.

It doesn't take a ppm signal directly. That's the reason for this project.

As Daryoon wrote, you will not be able to just rewire the nRF module and have it work. You need a PPM to SoloPro converter inbetween, and that's what the circuit does. As far as I can remember, the neTX firmware and circuit should work for Futaba too, but it probably won't fit the Futaba case.

I was going through my drawers the other day and I found two more blank neTX PCBs. I also have all the components at home, so if anyone still needs these, I can build, program and test one (or two) during the weekend.

I also have a few nRF24L01+ modules with the PCB antenna.
