brushless motors

ive been looking into making an rov and ive found theses on the bay. but do brushless motors work in water without any water seals. ive seen a few videos on the net but iam not sure just yet lol.

They are designed for moving air at a great velocity, If you tried them in water which is 700 times more dense you would quickly resease the smoke.....

Some people have had success, in running appropriate motors (those pics are not) under water with no sealing but salt water will kill them very quickly.

There are other posts on brushless motors within this forum, find them and have a read

thanks for the reply, ive looked into it a bit more and i think iam going to use bilge pumps for the motors to make it easyer.
iam ordering a HD 720P camera and tilt/pan mount tomorrow with all the pipe and bits i need. the only thing iam finding hard to get is the glass dome for the front of the tube, but ive ordered a dummy cctv dome to take apart to see if i can use that. its only going to go down about 5meters so it might be thick enough.
