that's great news. It's a pretty good feeling to find your lost copter, isn't it? Probably the least expensive locator is the beeper I referenced in the message above, and it's only 3 grams additional weight, well within the massive payload capacity of the mQx.

I totally agree, I probably said earlier in this thread that i've always been fascinated with helicopters and earlier this year when I finally begun with Radio Controlled flying I thought i'd stick with helicopters.

Almost a year on and my helicopters have either been sold or binned/broken, I still have my Blade 120SR that basically never gets flown and I've got my MQX that gets flown all the time, it's just so much more fun and so very responsive, it just does what you tell it to.

The MQX is currently my favorite thing to fly. At first I almost took my head off because I was only used to my MCX2. Now I can actually fly it around the house. Plus, the thing can take some abuse. Once I snagged the tree in my backyard and broke an arm. A trip to the LHS and $10 later and I was good to go again, plus I had an extra arm because they sell them in pairs.

Invest in a few extra blades. I like to keep at least one orange one on mine. It helps me determine orientation from a distance. I also bought a cheap 808 cam and SD card that I attach to it using Velcro. Not the best picture quality, but I am not trying to win any awards.
Flying the MQX over Fern Hill Park (8 min 54 sec)

Definitely go get one.

Talking about hitting trees, a really impressive thing that happenned to me was that she hit a tree about 30 ft up and tumbled down, but before she hit the ground the gyros righted her back to the same attitude she was in when she hit the tree. Damn impressive.

I've got both the MQX and the v929, but I do prefer the MQX over the v929....so, I am selling my v929.

The mqx is better in that I can use my dx8 radio with it.. much nicer to fly with vs the cheap tx that comes with the v929.. but both models are excellent fliers.. and the 929 cant be beaten on value for money.
I am also playing with big quads and the KK2 board.. again fun, but because they are so heavy they get damaged or cause damage much easier than the MQX ..
So for now, whist learning I fly the v929 first and most... I would rather bash that up..Its cost effective..

I have about 8 flights on my Mikrokopter Okto XL and would have crashed it on flight one if it had not been for the many flights on the mQx. The mQx is a great trainer. The Okto XL is almost easier to fly, because so many things are automated, especially stability. The mQx is a bit of a darter, very much a lightweight and as such, is good for learning instinctive responses for the pilot.
