I have a 6s 5000mah, but figured the amps would go up if I used it. My best bet would prolly be to lower the KV on the motor, for better flight tine. Think the box says 2200kv on 6s 3700mah & 55a esc.

Take a look on this Page:

http://www.extremerc.com.au/estore/i...ex&cPath=14_62

See this Part here:

HET 2W25 Typhoon motor:

6s4000mah: 22.89 volts / 61.4 amps / 1407 watts / 53,700rpm / 2.1kg thrust

It says on 4000mah...now since this is my setup, and my battery is a 6300mah, lol, I would roughly be in the 3000Watts+ Mark and surely around 140amps, LOL!

But take a look at some other setups which draw less power but still give you enough watts.

The F-18 on 2300watts is really nice and quick!!!!

The SU-35 on 3000Watts will be, well I guess really really quick!

Regards

NS.

@v8truckin: For flight times, I'd factor current draw at your average throttle setting, somewhere between 1/2 and 2/3 - or were you going to fly this jet open throttle 100% of the time?

Also, motor efficiency is usually better (lower current draw per unit thrust) when there is air more freely flowing through the ducted fan unit at velocity. This has been observed empirically with telemetry.

R2F are on Holidays right now and will be back next week.

I'll call them in regards to the shipping and the Warehouse, otherwise I'll order it for you with my Discount, and send it to you that way, deal?

I just want that you'll get it soonish as well in case they won't have it in the german warehouse at the same time.

Regards

NS.
I bought the version that includes everything in the grey color scheme.
I supposed it'd be the 3D one since it says it has TV, 11 servos, 2700g of weight and 3000g of thrust. I'm (For the first time) doing and act of faith and relying on stock electronics, we'll see how that works this time

When I was putting the order on R2F I came up with this:

"Terms and conditions of important customer information
Prices:
All prices are in CHF (Swiss Francs) and are including VAT of 8.0%. For orders from EU countries, the prices shown in Euros and including legal VAT of 19%, including all customs expenses. All other countries are without tax!"

So I guess that I won't get addiotional taxes after all

But then, If you can get any kind of discount for me, I'd be most pleased!

Cheers,
Jandro.

No I won't be flying wide open throttle, but I use WOT as the bases for my minimum flight time.

I know I'm gonna take a hit for this but here it goes. Does anyone know if the version that BH is carrying is the upgraded version with the changes that the RC Castle version has?

Damon,

I don't know....maybe someone else does. I sent a PM to Pete at BH and posted a thread in their section on the forum, asking if they would bring a few of these to the AMA show in Ontario next weekend....no replies as of yet.

The pics on the site show the proto version, so you might want to send Pete a msg. I would think since it says January release it's gotta have the fixes.

It's shows where they should be centered, but no indication of deflection.

Wow that's surprising. Stabilators can be very sensative .... What did you decide to set yours at?

Generally 15* up or down is usually max. 7*-10* for standard flight. Shouldn't be much different from the F-18.

Do they post the throws for the ailerons or rudder?

So all You first maideners, let us know what works for ya. Saw a vid of one members Mig 29 do a flip on take off because of too much input. Stabilator/taileron have more pitch authority at low velocity. So this will be something to figure out.

Thanks V8.

Another minus (depending on the person) is no light kit on this plane. I kinda like the lights for those sun down/dusk flights.

Imma set mine to the exactly like the f18 & go from there. I think I can copy setting in my DX6i. Not any sort of travel in the manual. I was surprised! I'll prolly be maidening on Monday.
