Well it actually matters but not for CG balance.

I'm deciding on alternative ESC and I want to keep weight down. Remember I'll be putting gyros, delta mixers and so on, and I want to know how much weight can I save with ESC replacement

Though I guess I'm gonna put twice as much weight in ESC wiring than in the Speed controller itself, still I prefer to have some reference number to compare.

Cheers!

ExtremeRC.Com tested and available combos with a 70mm mini.
For 4S drivers I'd recommend;
HET 2W18 Typhoon motor:
4s2500mah: 14.64 Volts / 54.2 Amps / 795 Watts / 45,160rpm / 1.46kg thrust

For 6S drivers;
HET 2W25 Typhoon motor:

6s4000mah: 22.89 volts / 61.4 amps / 1407 watts / 53,700rpm / 2.1kg thrust

ARC2848-1 motor:

4s4400mah: 14.75v / 94.9A / 1400W / 52,440rpm / 2.02kg thrust

ARC2858-1 motor:

4s2600mah: 14.5v / 41.5A / 600W / 40,620rpm / 1.15kg thrust

*6s4000mah: 21.63v / 86.7A / 1877W / 56,460rpm / 2.5kg thrust / 360kmh EFFLUX!!
are these test per motor or dual motors?

don't know how wargassm is getting cg at 150mm, with his 4900mah at the tailend of battery tray. I put a gens ace 4000mah 640g at the nose of the battery tray n can't cg @ 150mm, need to add weight or move forward. Flightmax 5000mah 850g 1/2" from nose of battery tray cg'd at 150mm. Wouldn't think those -60g make that big a difference on cg/battery location...guess so.

This is where my cg is at 150mm (below)

So I took a gens ace added weight to equal 800g, put a back of battery tray & still can't get a cg @ 150. Cg is @ 160-162mm with 800g.

1+45 on chat with"Marrry". Lots of Q&A and then I was told a 17g elev servo white wire will ship in 4-7 days. Got email to confirm. Still thinking of 2 85mg Hitecs, look like a drop in fit. I really think this a nice plane might pull trigger on rc Castle one.....

ok maybe my measurements are off, but only by a few mm. its balanced just infront of where the metal spar fits into the plane. when we measured it it was @ 150mm so we thought.

with gear down, the part of the foam next to the wheel, uneven part that is where I CG the jet. hmm ok ill go put it back togeather and re balance it the way i had it @ the field.

just trying to figure out how I can squeeze a lighter battery in there. If she flying fine then leave her. Its more for my reference and maybe others. I guess I'm just gonna keep the 5000mah. Although your motors may have some to do with weight & cg.

Please hang with me as i try to explain without pictures where i CGH the SU-35.

bottom of the wing, where the servo wire comes out, small rectangular hole, not on the side but bottom face of the wing. another way to say it is the bolt holding the wheel to the strut, straight out from that. now with gear down its a mm back from that position, with gear up its on the front edge of that spot, maybe .5mm from it.

hope this helps. ill post pics tomorrow.

Yes, if you look at the link/attachment above the 155m is at the front edge of that rectangular slot you are talking about. Now my cg of 150mm is 5mm forward of that. I cg with gear up.
