CG:

From underneath the aft end of the wedge that separated the ESCs is 145mm aft of the wing root on the fuse.

or

You can also use as a reference the LE of the box hole opening, for 155mm, that feeds the Aileron wire from the wing. The line of that box hole opening also is in line with the wheel well of the mains for 155mm.

If you go to the beginning of the thread I posted the pic of the actual model, confirmed MAC and 35% AC to come to the same 145mm-155mm that factory arrived at. There can be other dynamics at play as you move to more unstable where the Strake and Stabs start adding lift properties which is why I further calculated NP and dynamic AC to come to Stable to Unstable being at 167mm. Beyond 167mm my guess is most would need gyros on high gain.

If you go to the thread tools at the top of this thread select show all attachments to see every picture everyone has posted. The first picture shows the CG calculated.
It worked for V8's flights and that even looked a bit nose heavy though its hard to read his entire setup. So sound about right.

OMG...I didn't know about being able to show all of the attachments in a thread. That is insane! You just made my life about a hundred times easier when I'm looking for specific pictures!!!

They gave 155mm for fliers who are looking for a little more 3D. But they are fairly conservative so one can go back further if they know how to set other surfaces including stab AoA. But as discussed what makes all the difference controlling slightly aft CG is finner surface control thru linkage setup and Expo.

V8! Go balistic! Still curious if your static thrust differs much from dynamic.

Also have you checked if the thrust line is fine?
In the vertical full power and in a dive no power, no stick input for either does it pull to the belly or canopy? That's if you happen to notice while you're up there.

Ya the spring in the back of the track just drill a hole a little smaller than your spring, all silone adhesive and squeeze it in there. But I was looking to do that covered and add a shock bar trailing arm to replace the solid plastic bar they supply.
Have good flight.

She goes verticle for about 150ft before wanting to stall. She's faster than a euro on a straight run. No roll rise or drop on vertical and dives, she slices through the air like hot knife in butter.

Lol...I guess that answers my question. It will be interesting to see if BH PNP version has the upgraded motors. I guess I'll find out Wednesday when mine gets here .
