V8... Thanks for the info. I did not know that you used lighting off a chopper. I thought it was a special afterburner ring.

Yup i wanted something different than the typical red, yellow or orange ring so i went with those. Did you see my taxi and flight vid of em? During flight very noticeable but camera didnt catch it to great, however during taxi the camera caught em good.

There's a Don's EDF set up for sale with lights and these pics are taken from the ad. Looks very cool in the pics.

Yes, they look fantastic! Might be a bit hard to fit into the Su viably... too much restriction by then, and opening them out, for that many, is almost an impossibility. But you need many rows of them to look good.
You could always remove the TV and go to straight out then.... and would be able to do it much easier then.

More delays on the airbrake mod completion.....
It was a perfect evening so I went flying instead.... then flew/crashed a plane into high tree, so that wasted over an hour getting it back out!

Durafly Vampire.
The Lipo burst open.... luckily did NOT end up in flames!
But I didn't know, so I saw it going 'weak', headed for a landing circuit.... at the base leg extreme it 'wallowed and spun'... I couldn't tell what was happening prior to that, it was flying along ok but slow. Obviously getting slower... too slow....
Spiralled into the top of a tall tree and stuck there.
A 18ft ladder, and some tree climbing later (one hour later!) I got it down intact... just dings and dents from branches.

...
