Please tell me you don't mean he was using a stock 9x receiver!

jk671 sorry to hear about the fatal brown out. Your jet made such a realistic sound. What fan/motor combo were you using?

He's using the same ExtremeRC Alloy CS70/10 6S high Watt motor thathe had in the first one.

I actually wonder what batteries he uses because he's usually heavy on the throttle booking it all around that business park.
Those motors pull 65amps + and he's up around the 4min mark.
His batteries must be near their limit.

Hope he recovered those to reuse them again.

Sounds like it. Thats what always gets me thinking WTH ??? Some people put some $$$ into their planes and spend cents on the most important part of your electronics, the receiver.

Jk,

Not trying to kick u while your down, but just trying to help ya out. Sometimes you can't learn if you don't make mistakes.

Try that. This is from my phone so its harder to check the link.

Mark had an accident so he's recovering but he can tell you how long it would take to fill the order.

Does that RX have a bad rap or is it not a full range receiver?
Which RX should he have used to work with the 9X?
If its signal loss its not a brown out. Brown out would be insufficient power supply.
Loss of signal is particular to instruction being dropped between connected TX and RX.
So which was it?

I have a 9x version #2 but I took out the factory module and put a Frsky module in its place. I have never used the factory 9x receiver in any model. The 9x is a good radio but not as factory sold you have to upgrade its components. I believe you get what you pay for

I was referring to the fact the he mentioned he flew in an area that caused his signal loss momentarily, which he also stated would happen in conjunction with a brown out. So I think he was having multiple issues, brown out and rx signal issues. That's why I suggest he use something with a better with a satellite or something. Or find another place to fly, which I think it's easier to replace the receiver.

It was either mention on RCG or his YouTube channel video comments or description, but I can't find it.

In either case I feel for him! that model is a expensive one for sure! I hope he will be able to replace it soon!.
