We had yet another terrific day at yesterday's TCMAA ales event in Littlerock. The day started out a little breezy (8-12 mph) but settled into a very nice day and all 9 pilots had a great time.

We fly at a golf driving range reserved for us during the event dates. I have seen hi-starts, DLG, electrics and aero tow. Then we Alpine soar at Memaloose and Mt Howard. Google Maloose as it is 4,000 feet above the snake river canyon and the thermals are unbelievable! I have flown aerobatics s if I was in a 50kt wind but there was barely a breeze, awesome! Lastly I have seen floa flying off of the Noeth shore of the lake and this yer I hope to have a Trex 450 on floats!

There is horse back riding, fishing, parasailing, steepest team in the World, shops, museums and of course food, drink and great friends!

Gig Harbor ALES postponed

Hi guys,

The forecast for Saturday keeps getting worse by the hour, so Im going to postpone the EFLAPS contest in Gig Harbor until next Saturday, July 7th.

Wind, rain, thunderstorms and wet grass is just a tad too much for me

Next ALES event in Olympia August 5th

The next ALES event scheduled in the Olympia, WA area will be held at the Puget Sound Silent Flyers club (located right in Olympia). The event is scheduled for SUNDAY, AUGUST 5TH.

PSSF has never hosted an ALES event at their field before so it's a great opportunity to show them what it's all about. TCMAA will be cooperating with PSSF to put this event on and we'd like it to be a big one.

For club info - see www.pugetsoundsilentflyers.org . I will get more specific details as they develop but the start time (right now) is set for noon.

Brian, the last I heard there was going to be another ALES contest at the TCMAA field this Saturday, the 8th. However, their calendar shows a regional contest on the 15th.

http://www.tcmaa.net/index.php/event...y=2&view=month

Hopefully, one of the club members in the know will chime in shortly.

Brian, I just heard that the TCMAA guys are actually having a contest this Saturday. No details. Im going to guess a start time of 10am as that has been the norm. Check their website in the above link for directions.

Not sure if Im going to be able to make it at this late date or not.

Hey guys. TCMAA IS putting on a club contest tomorrow (Sept 8). This contest is open to all AMA members, and will start at 1000. Same rules and guidelines as previous contests. Pilots' meeting at 0945. For TCMAA members, this contest will add to your 2012 total points and keeps you in the running for the 2012 TCMAA championship. ALL points from our "monthly" events will be totaled to determine the annual high-points club champ.

We also have a one-day event set for 9/22 that is a self-contained "2012 ALeS championship". Winner takes home a nice plaque. Winner of this event does not need to be a TCMAA member.

Both contests are at the Thurston County Miniature Aircraft Association' Littlerock field. Check at TCMAA.net for directions. See ya at the field.
