Another Tantrum - First Flight today

Got my Tantrum done 3 days ago, but too much wind but today I just had to go give it a try. First thing for me is it dosen't like the wind so much as my switchback. It does fly very nice and does great landings even in the wind.

Razor 400 Gws C and 11X8. Had planed on Gws D and 12X6 but pinion got loose while testing on the floor. Lots of power with E-tec 3-1200. With wind put in TP 3-2100. Never ran down bats as never need much power except for vert climbs.

I tried flaps and reflex but I am not sure how it should be set up. Took some photos for first time to post photos. I shoot them in 800x600 but reduced down for this try of posting photos.

Looks good Flyboy.
If the size is not too large, go ahead and post 800x600.
Congrats on the maiden.

Here is the battery setup and my safety strap. I lost one bat in flight so won't do that again!

Had to take the mower out to my flying site to give it a mow as it's still plenty hot here in Orlando and the grass is growing too good.

Still lookin' good.
In my DS, and other models, I put a piece of velcro on the bottom of the battery bay, and it's mate on the battery itself. that helps prevent horizontal movement of the battery if I have to stop too fast.
In addition to the strap.

Tried 800X600 but kicked back and said max file size is 1,024,00 so will go back to reduced size.

Added extra sheet to nose and used short Gws shaft to keep motor back in the nose better.

I put velcro on the bat platform also, but like the strap and put a strap on my swithback as well. It has Razor 300 or Mini AC and TP 3-2100.

Nice covering job...simple yet elegant! I'm building my Tantrum now - have both wings done & just started framing the fuse.

Thanks for the pics!

800X600 over a MB? Are you sure it is jpeg at low-med quality? It should be much smaller than that.

Great job. It will become your favorite airplane, if not it will be close. It will fly as good as you can at what ever level you get to.

Peace,
