It has been many years since I pulled an all nighter and I paid the next day but here are the results. Its like Christmas in May! It just needs a little trimming.

Thank you, there was a ton of detail that I was worried would destroy the plug. It came out with only a little resistance and minor damage. Best of all NO voids.

That turned out truly amazing! I'm surprised that so much detail came through.

That looks so slick, I think the mold itself may just be able to fly!

I spent a whole day trying to get a mirror coat of PVA on the stab mold. I started in the morning and had 4 unsuccessful attempts before a good one late in the day. I think the problem was during the day was a light breeze with low humidity and the PVA dried too quick and trapped air bubbles. The final coat was at the end of the day when it was calm and cooler giving the bubbles more time to get out before it cured.

One coat of tooling gel on the stab and a few touch ups on the fuse.

Danj31,

I've been watching you do this build from the beginning. It is truely a thing of beauty. Can't wait to see you fly it.

Really cool Dan, I think this one will be your best effort yet! I need to invest in some real composit materials someday. I'm still goofing around with Bondo and such, but of a one or two kind of thing it's been working so far.

Nice mold Dan! Gotta love those all nighters. In some twisted way it makes those parts seem more special when you fight to stay awake.
