The wingtips are very thin with only half on and they flop around. The MDF is accurate and will straighten everything out once the wing is caulked to it.

There is an F-4 hiding in there somewhere. I have caulked the wings down and caulked part of the fuse in.

Looks like everything turned out well. Now I just need to trim the caulk and make a mold.

I cover the MDF with packing tape, the epoxy will not stick to the tape even without PVA.

The fuse is ready to mold with 2 layers of PVA to protect it. The tooling gel for the tail was applied twice so that I could lay one half flat while is hardened.

I do like to post a "looking good", "coming along" replies so that Dan knows we are all still interested. Lots are but kindly don't clutter his thread with kudo comments but I am grateful for the idiot proof step by step photo's Dan posts as I prepare myself for my first venture into molding my Hawk.

I do like the black gel look. Nice and slick as!

One half of the fuse is molded and it took forever! I started kind of late and just kept chugging along, towards the end I started hearing birds outside and when I finished and went upstairs the sun was coming up and it was 6:30am. That is what I call an all nighter. I just pulled apart the horizontal stab mold and it turned out perfect. Now it just needs to be trimmed and the other half molded. Thanks for everyones positive responses, they keep me posting. I read a lot of these builds and get a ton of info from them so I like to give back.
