T-33!

I looked for an appropriate thread to write this on, but I couldn't find one so it goes here;
Great to see you today at Sepulveda. Double great congrats on the re-maiden of your big T-33.
Lemme tell ya folks that thing flew beautifully and was piloted masterfully by the skilled Mr. Hecht.

Well Done!

Cheers,

Sperling

Damn! Where's the video and pics!!!!!

OK, what motors and escs did you wind up with? Next question, maybe those companies will sponsor the crating and shipping to SEFF? It would be awesome there in front of over 500 pilots!

haha...cmon, you know i would have posted lots of stuff if it was the 38 lol.

but, the maiden of my new T-33 was freakin great!!!! if you can believe, it flies better than the first! and sounds better, and looks better! lol. i reworked the inlets on this one, and really cleaned up the bottom of the wing. this one is also only 10 lbs, compared to the 12 lbs of my last one! yikes! man, it just flies absolutely gorgeous....flew 5 times, and every landing (and a couple touch and goes) were total greasers! man, makes me wonder why i took so long to get this one going. ive have this thing for a year lol. i dont know if you remember gramps, but these T-33's are kindof handfulls on the ground during takeoff, well, i completely fixed the problem....i used a longer nose strut, and it now sits at the proper angle, not only does it track very stable, and straight as a arrow on takeoff, the rotation is also much improved, beeing nice and smooth! andy, i used the nose strut meant for our F-86's....slap that sucker on you T-33 and enjoy the improvement! ive been thinking of going fury on that sabre, so im going to need a longer strut anyhow not sure though, the minute men scheme is so pretty....im going to start back up on that soon, and get you a new canopy! (aka more scale) oh, and i made the gear doors more scale on this one...they look much better. i made some doors for the nose, jus thavnt installed yet

on T-38 news, i got my fans yesterday, so i started assembling them a big thank you to the good folks at jethangar hobbies!!

ps...spearling, it was great to see you at the basin! thank you so much for spotting and helping out!

also, huge thank you to mike gaasch for these great pics!

Brent:

Please refresh our memories. What size and brand is the T-33? What are you using for power and how many cells?
