Jonathan...nice video. I actually liked the music. I thought it fit the flying quite well.

Anytime Keith. Oh and the title was and it wasn't. I was thinking GoPoo sounded like GoPoor with a heavy Southern accent, but then in hindsight I'm sure most people would read it differently :P Oops! Renamed to GoPor which is better anyways since it's just a two letter swap.

And, now that we've succeeded in totally derailing this thread... here's something completely different!

Ok.. Back on topic.. Who is going to post up some pics of their NEW Genesis build? No more wing bolts. Slightly longer nose and tail too. Thought I had posted here a while back, but guess I missed it.

Hello

I own a new Genesis. It is my first moldie .I have done a lot of staring at it. But that's about it. I am not sure if I am ready to do anything else...

Cut into it and show the world ??

Who wants to fly it though
so I will have to get over it soon..

the Genesis is the first moldie I landed successfully - flown many once or twice, but this thing is a blast. I need to get some video up.

With a little bit of camber (which I suggest is a required thing to program onto a slider switch on your radio) the thing flies in sub-weasel style wind. And then the other day it was blowing 15-19 and I had it cranking on the backside, no ballast even... sadly this stupid tree jumped up and grabbed the wing not so gently so i've got a bit of patchwork now.

New version looks nice. How big is the joiner?

Sorry to hear that.. That plane has some mileage on it now. Keep it going!

The wing joiner is 12mm X 10mm. I'd say the plane is good for anything on the front side, and maybe 125mph on the backside. So you can get an intro into DSing with the Genesis. As you know, that wing just loves to carve turns, so they are rather nice for playing in the DS zones.

Randal, sorry to hear about the rabid tree. I'm sure it will be back up and tearing up some more sky in no time though.

I found out mine was a regular California beach bum last week.

In 15mph+ winds I had it fully ballasted at Fermin and while performing some aerobatics I flicked it while inverted and trying to pull up (down stick while inverted). It went into an inverted spin which I was unable to orient and pull out of before it dove into the ocean. My last view from up top was of it floating upright in the water. The pic above was how I found it 15 minutes later after I finally made it to the bottom of the cliff.

The only real structural damage was to the nose with some very minor cracks in the saddle area. The elevator servo, Rx, battery, and most likely the switch are fried, but I believe all 4 wing servos will recover (I've yet to reassemble them after opening them up to dry).
