Naked carbon is hard to get right. Fabric needs to be laid very carefully to have a nice cosmetic look, clear coats can be damaged, etc. It is not practical for a plane at this price point.

Then there is the practicality of a naked carbon plane - It is a bad idea. They get HOT in the sun, this weakens the structure.

Thinking out loud, these are from a dynamic thread.

We will keep the noses 2.4 friendly. Not sure on the life span for Flouro colors. All samples I have seen fade pretty badly with UV exposure. Can look into it though.

some samples I came up with for another plane:

3 and 4 are hard for me to really get a feel for top and bottom.
I like the pattern difference between top and bottom on 1 and 2 with stripes parallel to the fuse all across the bottom of the wing.

No naked carbon is ok with me. I like the economy of these

Flouro colors can be sprayed with a uv clear to help with the fade I believe. Now we need custom bags.

I really like the look of the Blade in this vid.

Yes, but it will cost o n e m i l l i o n d o l l a r s !!!

I got this cool green laser pointer in Bangkok that I bet you could stick it on the nose somehow. I don't know how many flights back and forth along the slope you could get in though before the plane magically started disappearing at certain points.

Your going to like the way this little sprite performs! Especially in good winds.

Wayne... Remember I said I lost some of my ballasts? I know now what way they exited the plane! I have the nose glued back in place with the exception of a space the same size as my ballast kind of like the ole buggs bunny cartoons when they run thru a wall and the exact image of them is removed from the wall!
Did not even know it was missing till I got her all back together and noticed a very familuar shap missing!
Looks like I will have her glassed up and ready for flying soon, but would still like to know how much a new fuse is... if... you can get them?

Thanks John, but I almost got her back together tonight. I am just getting overwhelmed with repairs lately. Can't seem to leave a good day without crashing one or even three tonight!
Brought out my non-flapped t-28 to kite hill and never got the front wheel off the ground ( A freaking foamy T-28!!!) and banked left, but the plane had other plans! Smacked my own car to add insult to injury!
Think I am having Tropical Illusions. Flying here, but thinking about Maui!

But you scarred me with the oversize package pricing... Mine is 3 times bigger then the bag you brought! and you can't rent kites... I would have to bum ones from some of the pro's I know... and don't like doing that. Will just have to bite the bullet and pay for the huge board bag I have with all my gear.
