I've painted many moldies. This red and black is pretty hard for me to see. I'd put some white stripes on the top. You could just use monokote trim which works well and is removable. Or, simply tape it off and rub the area with some high grit sand paper so the gel coat takes the paint better. Many times I just spray without sanding and get good results. I've also stripped paint jobs with thinner and not harmed the original finish.

Seems like blasphemy to sand a moldie to balsa and then cover it in monokote.

We are almost out of flapped Genesis. We will order more in a different color scheme, but we are talking months for them to arrive. Have lots of them without flaps in a nice white with high contrast stripes on the bottom.

Wayne saw mine... I killer her in the high winds Sunday. Shapell hit up to 46 mph, and I had a moderate fly by with a left of me pump that went so high... I leveled it out to get oriented with it. Literally went up on a medium pass for somewheres around 7+ seconds without elevator. Think I could have jumped off and gone up!
Alass.. I got disorented with that dark color and bit it with full ballest. But... the PVC Ballast tube saved 90% of the plane from certain death! I may be able to reglue the nose back on.. Who knows? Maybe it will fly even better like a certain Mini Vector I know!

Yeah, he smushed it good.. Looked like his ballast slammed hard into his servo tray and hammered the entire nose off. Yikes.

A little tape and she will be good as new.

Luckily his wing and tail appear to be fine. The fuse wing mounts and nose are shattered and delaminated pretty well. I think the biggest issue was the ballast slamming into a very sturdy servo tray while at the same time the nose was be pushed into the ground. Considering I'd say it held together pretty well.

So what colors you guys want to see on the next batch of planes.. Yes, I know, not red and black.

Not sure if you can order any flouro paint, but that would be killer.

How about naked carbon with a 2.4 friendly nose.

Thinking out loud, these are from a dynamic thread.

We can do anything in terms of color.. I'm always a sucker for Yellow/Black and Yellow/Blue but I understand that is not ideal for everyone. I have a request for Orange/Black. Got a design you really like? Show me and I'll see if we can get that for you.

What would you prefer, one or 2 piece wing? I'm thinking we will start stocking mostly 2 piece as the shipping is a killer for a 60" 1 piece. I like the strength and simplicity of the 1 piece though.

All future Genesis kits will have flaps. If you want a plane without flaps, you should order it now.

No - no naked carbon planes. I don't want to deal with that headache.

Do you guys want this plane in carbon? We can do that, but I'm not sure the 60" needs it. Especially going with a 2 piece wing. Maybe a carbon leading edge for rough slopes.

We will also be coming out with a new 2 meter ship. Should be a Typhoon killer.

Are there additional hurdles for dealing with naked planes? Something akin to R-rated?
