Where to buy 10-12 Amp 400Hz esc's?
I see the Maytech ads for the 30amp 400 Hz esc's.
Does anyone know where to buy a 10-12 amp esc that is 400Hz? I'm building a small quad and want the fast update rate for better stability. Using these motors. http://www.innov8tivedesigns.com/pro...roducts_id=777 Thanks. |

Here are some that are Advertised here on RCG by Monto, I have not used them but because they are 30amps makes no differences. Just a safety zone in my opinion.

Here are some 12A 500Hz AKE ESCs, from CNCHelicopter.com. I have some of these that came with my XA Hexa combo kit, and I'm going to use them on a DJI F450 "Flame Wheel" frame, with a Naza.

My understanding (I could be wrong), the main reason for reflashing an ESC is for Throttle response time. Many of the HobbyWing rebranded ESCs will do 400Hz without the reflashing.

Hi,
Note that some ESC's can handle receiving a faster PWM rate than they are capable of actually updating without locking up or glitching. Most tests have shown unmodified HobbyWing re-branded ESCs such as the Turnigy Plushes to be response capable up to about 350hz. Modifying those with fast PWM firmware such as the Quax/SimonK not only gets them up to over 450Hz capable but also hard codes the throttle range, gets rid of the LVC, and also gets rid of throttle smoothing and provides a linear response which are all very important for excellent and reliable multicopter performance.
