I just wanted to correct a statement I made in my original post. I said "we still have to offer a cable that has a JST XH on each end and all wires populated. But If forgot, we already have that cable. It supports "other brands" XH chargers having 10 cells. Here's the cable that would be required to daisy-chain 2 MPA's:

I have been running my PL-8 "Duo," each side fitted with an MPA, for a few hours now: fantastic!

Just got my PL6+MPA, and am about to order the stuff I forgot to order the first time through (like the PC adapter cable). The manual for the PL6 doesn't say much about the MPA, and the sheet on the MPA doesn't say much about using a single pack. Can I use the MPA as the only adapter to do all the PL6 stuff for one pack and forget about the single adapters? (testing IR, cycling a battery to measure amount recharged, etc).

I use my MPA's with "single packs" and they work fine: you can use any combination up to six of the same cell count, or, tah, dah, "daisy chain" MPA's together!

WOW! That is a LOT of charge capability. Do you have your own R/C Strategic Air Command?

Well, I should post a pic! I have both connected to a Protek 2000, along with a TP 820 CD.

I did get carried away, but in less than 30 minutes I can charge various batteries which last for my entire flying "day."

I always hated waiting!

Hi:

In order to work with any cell count 2s-8s, the MPA requires that the charger conform to XH standard for wiring, which the Cellpro 10s does not. New REVO products like 10XP, PL6, and PL8 all have the option of switching them from the original FMA WIRING MODE to the XH WIRING MODE. That said, if all you ever want to do is use MPA to charge same-cell-count packs all the time, it would be possible to modify the cable you'd normally use between MPA and 10XP to support, e.g., only 3s, or only 4s battery packs. All that is required is the the pack + of the specific cell count coming off the adapter always goes to the last position on the Cellpro 10s charger's balance connector. If this interests you, best thing to do is to consult the Cellpro 10XP user guide and study the difference between how a pack with a specific cell count has to be wired for FMA Cellpro connector vs XH connectors. Illustrations are there for all cell counts 1s -5s. Higher than that can be extrapolated. Also, if you need it, we'd be there to help you. But if you need to support different cell counts at different times, like you charge multiple 4s packs sometimes and multiple 6s packs sometimes, then it won't help you.

After using my pair with two PL-8's, master and slave, I can say it is a GREAT PRODUCT!

You can, but right now you must make your own cable (unless something has changed).
