Just made gear for mine.
I have no rudder so i have to steer by banking, but not more difficult that flying a towing glider.... I think.
Test flight will be tomorrow.

???, Well TRCP sent me the wrong plane , hopefully I'll get the
Red Kommet by weds, WKYP.

The new TRCP RED KOMET!!, It will be a while to complete this one
will try for end of july, flying season is in full swing and is hot in my shop.

I'm lucky all my gear survived the crash, just need to install.

Flew my Me-163 last Sunday at at some point I had a slight orientation problem which scared me.

At a distance this thing just looked gray gray top/bottom . The red one should be easier to see

I also moved the CG back far enough, I thought it started to act funny ... Me thinks it flies better with a slightly forward CG and some 5mm or so up reflex.

Hey Herb, here is the maiden of my comet last night. This really is such a cool airplane. Had a little trouble with the right amount of reflex,, but after some adjustments it was ok. I set the cg right where you said and it was perfect. Thanks! Check it out and see what you think.

Glad everything worked out, just don't move that CG too far back - and keep the reflex.

Some time ago in January a friend at my field (Raul) moved the CG back till he got rid of the reflex . He lost it when he tried to flat spin it ...

Didn't know you could do that on a Komet/wing!

Guess you can't!

I am still thinking about getting one to toss off a very windy hill.....there is lots of room for ballast! Landing could be tough though! Did I see that someone cut in flaps?

On mine the CG is at the most aftt point recommended, 6.5 inch, it still has
aprox. 1/8 in. reflex, it does good, but stall manuevers are not in my flight
plan
