No problem at all. I can pick you up, hit a t-mobile shop on the way to Spencer's and head to Bakersfield. That will make for a fine day IMO. Remind me of when I lived there will and was always showing people around lol. Except then the cool hill was Parker and Vincent.

Anytime. This is a rare hobby that connects people around the world with a common ground and w all help each other

I still need to get a plane together to fly for 2-4 days of my trip out there. I would be fine hanging ou and taking pictures but I gotta build a foamie at least to scratch the itch I've ha for the last 3 years. Talk about seeing it from the flat landers side hahaha

That would've cool.

I just hope my buddy still has the jw I built for him before I left SoCal. I saw it 2 years ago sitting in his garage, I would really need to cycle the battery and hope he still has. Transmitter

True that.
JOe, I'm coming down on Friday the 6th, weather permitting. You can fly (almost) any of my planes if you're not too rusty. I'll have several JW's, Bee's, etc., and probably even a Destiny.
I want you to fly my JW's to help me make some improvements.

Great news! JR DS3421 servos are back in stock and on their way! So I should be able to refit my Wizard Compact DSX next weekend. In case you're reading this Will, I removed the JR 3150's and am putting 3421's all round. They fit just snug into the aileron and flap pockets and with a bit of sanding like Ian did, into the elevator bay too.

I got another sheet of coreflute and have fully lined the inside of the box and lid with a cross-grain layer. I couldn't be happy with the strength of the single layer. It now weighs 7.3kg. I tried sanding and planing extra timber off my wood box but only got it down to 10.6kg.

We had them cater a church picnic when I was a kid.
Tommies and Pinks are 2 things I really miss from LA.
Add Abbott's spicy chicken pizza to that list.
We got In-n-Out in Reno several years ago. Before that, a 200 mile RT to Aurburn was not uncommon.
I've also been known to bring back burritos from San Francisco taquerias for friends.
And, of course, I get a case of beer from Kern River Brewing when I go flying in Weldon.
