The D lens is solid,no wiggle or play.
The special lens D camera housing clamps down on the lens barrel very well. Lens Cap ![]() Vacuum plugs can make good lens caps and can be found at most auto parts stores,a 3/8 inch cap should work, measure your lens width to be sure.. Here is just a random link from the pic above, never tried these ones but giving the link for example.http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...FcuZ4Aod9h4AxQ Here is a vacuum cap from my scrap bin that fit the camera .

I would say this is where my problem started. Since receiving my D camera, the lens has never been solid with no wiggle. I suppose that's why on Day 1 it worked okay, and on Day 2 it had issues which I've pretty much narrowed down to the lens ribbon.

the modified one's will have a ever so slightly movement. Just be careful how you place something over the lens, that will take away the oils of the outer lens. Finger print, to abrasive materials. FISHYCOMICS |

Don't think i got any adhesive with the camera housing and lens D when ordered.
Didn't need any either, the housing just clamps down on the barrel and the lens is very secure. On the original lens though,(v1) i did end up having to secure the lens to the pcb with a couple small blobs of hot glue. Can imagine if one was to mod a "regular" (non lens D) housing that the lens D might not fit well. Had thought about doing that when first deciding on getting a D lens but decided using the proper housing for the lens would give the best results and least aggravation in the end. So what's the word on the new model coming out... How about some teaser info about the new model...what's one feature the new camera will have that we don't have now.....? |

Nobody gotten adhesive, or was told about to secure it, it is more a snap together deal? It is a cheap way to go about placing two plastic tabs up front, and less screws like the back.
I rather not force pressure, Four screw case is needed. FISHYCOMICS |

![]() Thanks for sharing, though I think Enjoy is a word I would not use for a handful of wet, weed encrusted 'Pride and Joy'. I hope you managed to dry it all out and get it flying again. Mike ( Mijk )
