My #16 will not record for more than 1:41 and a lot of times it stops after 1:33. Am I missing something. I've done all the steps and installed latest firmware as directed.
Thanks

Mike F. Some people have had problems with the new firmware overheating and stopping the camera. The majority don't. Tom may recommend a different card. wait for Iso or Tom to comment.

The new firmware does NOT cause the camera to over heat and stop recording. I don't know how that notion got started. The camera will get very warm to the touch when recording and when charging. This is NORMAL.

What was mentioned was that there MAY BE some compatibility issue with some CL 10 cards, where the recording starts, then stops shortly thereafter. There has been nothing confimed about this other than CL 10 cards being used when this happened in a couple other instances. So, to RULE OUT CL 10 cards as being part of the problem, it has been suggested to use a CL 6 (or even CL 4 card) instead to see if the problem persists.

The Go Pro Hero is a nice camera, but it would be even better if it only cost US$69 like the 1080 camera I just mentioned
Dear Tom,

thank you for your answer. That sounds really good, even if it seems that there are some problems yet. But I will keep an eye on the forum for the new cam, maybe the next firmware versions will correct some problems. Specially for bike riding the 720P 60 fps is very interesting.

Best regards from Hamburg, Germany

Stepped down to class 6 card and now it records at least 5 minutes without turning off. I will experiment with longer videos. Thanks Tom, you da man.

It was a good while ago so I can't remember, but it wasn't any more than the usual week to ten days from China to U.K.

Just to try it, I put the #16 on both an Eflite mQX BNF quad rotor and the little SU-26m BNF.

The mQX lifted it effortlessly, and I love the sound of the four asynchronous props. The Sukhoi also flew it OK but the stall speed was noticeably higher. Interestingly, although the camera's FOV was entirely through the Sukhoi prop, the relatively slow shutter speed makes for a decent view. The slight overall orange tint is the orange prop.

Eflite mQX, Sukhoi SU-26m and Trex (5 min 44 sec)

Whoa, that looks weird! YouTube picked the midpoint of a transition for the thumbnail
