hi , so many choices ...

trying to decide on my first jet plane , and i have seen video of like the

stumax edf unit and dynamax edf unit on various jets.

really like the sound and performance i saw in video , sounds like a turbine jet !

so with that said ,,, and i am on a lower end budget,

what would be some suggestions to look at ?

for instance ,,, if i could easily put a great sounding EDF unit in the parkzone Habu that would be great ...

i am not a builder though, so plug and play type projects would be first choice.

any thoughts would be great , thanks

note: i have not purchased my first edf jet yet ,,, so really looking at trying to put together off the shelf , easy to put together proven package . not spending huge $$$

if habu parkzone is good choice then i would purchase this ,

if another model already better setup for a turbine like sounding EDF unit , then that works also ...

The thread on the fan I posted is for a $15 10 blade 70mm fan which will take a 28mm motor....so lots of options.
You're NOT gonna get cheaper than that for "Turbine like sound".

The 10blade CS fan mentioned above is the ticket for turbine sound especially if you have a plane with twin intakes like the habu.

HK sells a 2900kv 2858 motor that is prolly a great match for this fan

Just try to stick with 3.2 mm shafts if possible. Some (myself as well) have found the 4mm adapter you get in addition to the 3.2 to be quite loose on most motor shafts and hard to center.

the 4mm shaft adapter is for 4mm shaft motors, you should never try to use that on a motor that has a 3.17mm shaft. use the right adapter for the right application and it will work fine

Really? Are you used to working with stupid people or something?

The 4mm adapters I got with all four of the fans I bought were way over sized for 4mm shafts. I have several Eflite motors with 4mm shafts and they were very wobbly on them as well as ALL the other motors with 4mm shafts I tested them on.

ok ok relax...your post made it sound like you were trying to use them incorrectly. some folks need things spelled out very clearly for them, obviously your not one of them......my apologies

I hope there not all that way we have two motors with 4mm shafts comming specifically for the cs70/10 fan

I'm hoping the issue has been addressed as "was" a common problem a few weeks ago.
