So where did your measured CG actually end up?
If it was truly tail heavy before, it would have been nearly impossible to fly (pitches
up when it goes slow, and down when it goes fast).
If it flew ok but was just overly sensitive to pitch inputs, then reducing your elevator rates (on a
properly balanced flying wing the elevator rates can be as low as 25%) would probably
have been better.

s6100021, where in relation to the hand hold is the CG? Say, how far in front of the rear grip part?

Well then lets not stop there, lets see an Avalanche,a Tail Slide and some rolling turns because after all this is an aerobatic competitor right?

Your flight looked pretty good s6100021. The launch looked pretty effortless and loved the 2-handed catch at the end. Good job. I look forward to seeing some in-flight videos. Perhaps I might have to reconsider not getting an X8.

You haven't actually said *where* your CG is, only that you shifted it. You might be able to "feel"
it, but that means nothing, if you don't tell us what you feel.
Please locate the balance point of your plane with your batteries in place, and tell
us where that point is, relative to some other fixed point on the plane.
Either measure it as the distance back from the lip of the lower front camera mount,
or as was suggested above, the distance from the edge of the rear finger holes.

i flied rite wing ZII and skywalker 168 . For the speed i will install GPS unit and fpv equipments then i would know the max speed with skywalker motor not the costumed motor which should comes with it as BEVRC said

i have not tried to do a barrel roll . tomorrow i will try it
That's great! How does the X8 compare to the ZII? How does it compare with the Skywalker?
I'm always searching for that plane that does everything.

Thanks

No plane does everything. No plane ever will.

Yeah, I'm learning that. I keep hoping though. I've started several threads on the subject and everyone says the same thing.
I'm not really interested in "Everything"
My main interest is in FPV and UAV applications. I'm not particularly interested in dog fighting or aerobatics or mountain surfing, but I would like the ability to go fast (faster than the Easystar) do barrel rolls and go vertical (if only for a short time). Most of the time I'll just be up to enjoy the view.
I'd really like it to break down as my storage and transportation space is limited.
Oh, and not break the bank.
It seems like there are several that fit the bill and the X8 seems to be one of them. The X8 appears to have another advantage in it can carry so much, so once I get the long range equipment, I could fly for miles and miles. Also, it's a huge plane that breaks down and that seem pretty unusual.

Please, someone, try this little monster to stall... Take it VERY high... Slow down... And pull pretty hard. This is the only thing I'm really afraid of with this wing - how it will cope with stalls...

Don't see why not - as long as you have everything tied down well

My 1.75m Horten Parabola has a similar layout and squibby little elevons and is quite spritely. With a powerful enough set up the X-8 should be able to perform in a similar manner.

Horten Parabola (1 min 58 sec)
