I've got a lot of big 3S batteries so am less interested in the stock low Kv motor meant to be run
at 4S voltage. Scorpion motors have been good to me (reliable, efficient, cool running, good power to
weight ratio, under rated max amps) so I picked up the last one of these
http://www.rcdude.com/servlet/the-12...ushless/Detail
SII-3020-1110Kv and plan to run it with a 12x8.5 folding prop.
Prop specs chart http://www.rcdude.com/servlet/the-te...1110Chart/Page
doesn't list that exact combo, but APC 12x8E maxes out at 82oz of thrust with highest
efficiency of any 3S prop combo in the chart. Hard to say how that'll play out at
lower cruising revs, but I don't have a lot of choices in folding prop sizes.

I haven't been posting fuse detail photos because they were all covered a few pages ago.
Start here and step through em http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/attac...mentid=4579837

And as I said above, the lower pocket is designed for a GoPro, so it's 60mm wide inside, and angled down 35mm.
Upper pocket is designed for flight camera, and it's 40mm wide inside.

If there's something not covered by those photos then tell us what specifically you need.

Wing mounting detail. You can see the additional spar inside the wing in the second photo. That runs the length of the entire wing.

You can also see that there are in fact two ply plates for location, there's also a hole through the wing. I'm going to be fitting a locking dowel into that to lock wings.

Do you plan to use the glue that comes in the kit? I am considering using UHU Por instead as I have previously used it to glue ply to EPP and held really well.

Anyone else has views on this? Does UHU Por hold as good on EPO as it does on EPP?

Cheers,
Angelos

I'm using UHU Por Angelos. It does a fabby job on EPO, it's what's holding my SkyWalker together.

uhu por is the only glue i use for foam these days, it grips well, is solid but allows for a bit of flex under stress, has a little expansion and grips like the best of them, two of my wings are held together with nothing but uhu por. highly recommended.

Can I be a pain and ask for a more zoomed out version of the pictures?

Are those wings ok to be detached and re-attached at flight time?

Yes, they can be detached. Remove a pin (or plastic nylon screw that I will probably use) and slide the wing out. The pin locks two piece of ply together one of which is glued on the wing and the other on the fuselage.

The servo will obviously need to disconnect together with any other FPV gear that may be sitting on the wing (VTX, UHF receiver etc).

Thanks for those photos.

Is the spar quality any good? Or would you consider some solid spars in there?
What's the spar diameter?

I will probably use ca on her as i have with all my funjets and previous wings. Its light and quick setting when used with kicker making lining up parts easy. I never had any problems with it in the past. I have a tube of uhu por as well ill keep it handy incase i need some.
i didn’t notice that the carbon spar ran the hole length of the wing great.
