what sucks it is a zip lock bag and they dont even zip it up.I must say the one that came today is in much better condition than the last one.

It's interesting though, because you see what you get from a high quality motor
for the same size and weight as the G32 above.
G32 770kv, 212g, 42A continuous 620W
SII 3026-890kv, 205g, 70A continuous 1025W
But then it is 4x the price, which is all that matters to some.

The HK-BC3548-4 1100Kv looks like a decent compromise for a 3S setup.

Do you think the g32 has enough for the x8 with 8amp battery, Gopro, fpv gear

Mine arrived this morning after 2.5 days waiting for Customs Clearance but no charge.

I was quite surprised to find these decals in the box as I can't remember anyone mentioning them or anyone posting photos. They could add a bit of brightmess to the white.

Anyway no damage
Going with an Eflite Power 32 with 2 x 4s - 5000 and 11 x 8 prop.

After watching this thread since it started, I finally succumbed to the lure of a big dark wing and joined the BEVRC pre-order list. I'm still wondering why, or more importantly how I explain it at home...... Is there anything wrong with my 66 inch blunt.....nope. In fact, it's never stalled even at a real crawl.
I just like to have a big well planned gear bay and detachable wings. That's the only way I can fit my wing and my wife in the car at the same time.

That is good news that it got past without charge! I was fully expecting to have to break it out of customs the hard way. What service delivered it if you don't mind me asking?

^^ Looks spot-on!

... although, because you've selected 'custom' as the motor, are you sure all the other values are right apart from the kv rating?

Thanks Ian.

No, I started with the motor spec eclac has saved but its 900Kv, i just changed that. I'm hoping that the other specs aren't far off but i'm willing to stand corrected I've made the wrong assumption.

Yeah , I may still purchase another Scorpion. I like 13x6.5 seems just right. What scorpion would you reccomend Ian for that prop and 4S.

Excellent some idea now what to aim for I am bit lost when it comes to the huge huge choices of electric engines...i fly petrol usually. So X8 with gopro, dosd, dlink, fpv cam, 8amp battery and 2amp for fpv stuff

Cant wait for it. Tempted to wait until they offer the laminated version fpvflying (if i can remember) was offering with the carbon.

Basket for plane with all the gear:

Hi
It came with Parcel Force. I think they do all EMS parcels.

You can track it on their web site as you probably know. If it had not been for Customs it would have been here in 4 days. Left Customs at 5pm Yesterday (Wed) arrived here 8.30am today (Thurs)

in poor landings/crashes but not all the rest of the cockpit as you did. My X8 went straight in
at 60-70mph and the only thing broken was the nose. A few less serious crashes since then,

Hi Ian. Airflow off the trailing edge of the Ailerons is also a major factor of torsional flutter. I've noticed a lot of X8 owners upgrading their ailerons to balsa but no one has mentioned balancing their ailerons. If your flying your X8 at high speed I think this should be given consideration. Ailerons left unbalanced at high speed will resonate and induce flutter into the main wing. Video below shows what I mean.

Flutter effect. Wing model (3 min 52 sec)
