Ah, no wonder the PZ Corsair gets rave remarks as to it's forgiving flying qualities! (I don't have one...)

A notable comparison I can mention as to flying weight in this size range is an Escale P-47 which when set up with flaps, l.g. servo speed reducer, and separate bec can weigh in the area of 38 - 40 ozs. That plane is just over 41" span and is O.K. at that weight.

I'd say this Corsair is well done at it's advertised weight considering it has electronic retracts.

Actually, closer to 50% more weight. But with flaps, should handle more like a warbird than the PZ floater. Just land the Durafly with some power all the way to flare, especially with the 4 blade prop, instead of gliding it in and it should handle fine.

Looks promising, hope the one piece wing has a good spar. Hopefully the drop tanks and rockets are easily left off. Personally I would skip the lights for full flaps. I like that there are no gear doors to fiddle with. Seems like it's still fairly light especially when you consider the wing area of a corsair. Should fly real nice, really like the size. I would venture to say they do pretty good with this one. I think a lot of us have been waiting for one that wasn't a monster.

You could - but from my experience with these type of foamies it just creates a whole world of other issues. Higher wing loading means mods sometimes need to be done to the airframe to take the added weight (which in turn adds weight), faster landings, heavier landings puts more strain on the gear etc. etc. etc.

For an extra 30-60sec flight - it's sometimes not worth it - but I'm sure there will be plently who will try.

I'll fly it stock first. If it's good, then maybe play later.

Aircraft is a F4U-4B corsair “Commander John ‘Tex’ O’Neil” with VF-113 off the USS Princeton in 1950. This particular Corsair is a US Navy Corsair painted overall Glossy Sea blue FS 15042.

ok, its been 6 days and my order STILL has not shipped. its really perturbing me that yalls shipped pretty much immediatly and my order cant get any attention. ive contacted them several times and they keep telling me the same things. i asked for some credit on my next shipment, "paid over $30 for fast shipping" and they wont do it. i told them "i thought they would've taken better care of their customers"
