T-Rex 450 3GX help with wagging tail

Can anybody give me advice on how to fix wagging tail on my new t-rex 450 3gx? I've tried lowering the gyro , but it still wags. I am using a dx8 radio.
any help/advice will be appreciated. Thanks.

lower the tail lock gain if the normal gyro gain isnt working
for the normal gyro gain in the DX8 gain menu try around 50 to 60
if that doesnt work youll have lower the tail lock gain in the 3G settings by hooking it up to your PC

youll need to hook up the 3GX unit to your pc and change the settings in the software

but try lowering the gain on your radio first

i have a slightly different trouble. i have the gyro gain to heading hold ( around 70%) but when i start to spool up my 550 3gx, the rudder pitch starts to slide all the way to the end of the shaft causing the help to pyroette to the left and when i give it input the other way it takes abut then immediately goes back far left again and stays there to pirouette.
any thoughts on what i need to do to fix it?

it correcting the right way?
if you move the tail to the right does the gyro correct by moving the leading edge to left?

if i could ask another question of you, the dx* has a gyro gain range of -100 to +100 ( unlike other radios). when i set the gain for heading lock mode on a dx7 or other TX, i set around 70%. when i use my dx8 for my flybar helicopter, i set it around 28-32% for heading hold.
on this 3gx unit, the software only shows a bar graph of 0 to 100% so in order to get it to show 70% , i have to set the gain on my dx8 to 70% ( which i know for my flybar help is way too high) so do i use the 30% range on my tx ( therefore showing a 30% setting on the 3gx software setting) to be in heading hold?

yes the % shown in the gyro menu on the DX8 is the REAL gain number
im running about 46% gain in idle 2 which is gov-ed at 2600rpm on my 500
so 30 to 40 % may be right for a 450
imo set high say 50% if the tail wags back it down till it stops not going to hurt any thing
or if its not waging keep uping it till it does then back it off till to stops
again numbers dont mean much unless your running 2 helis with the same every thing on them

i dont pay much attention to the number just does the tail wag no is it holding yes then thats good

no such thing if your not getting wag at 70% id just leave it there
you may want to even dial it up more till it starts wagging then back it off
you want as much gain as you can get with out the tail wagging
