How is this thread not trolling (group attack)
I came across a thread I thought was offensive and rose to the use of the report button.
I reported the thread and it has not been removed so I guess the mods deemed it ok, I feel they were wrong. Could you please review this issue and post an explanation on how this thread does not break the site rules of Trolling (group attack). Link: You might be a liberal if... From the rules page: Trolling (Group attack) The post contains an attack against the intelligence, character, or appearance of a group of users. As a Liberal I am offend and would like the thread removed. Oranator |

I can move this to appeals but the group attack rule only applies when a user is talking about a specific group of users on RCGroups. This thread is like many others in LTUP and is not specifically directed at anyone on RCG.

This is tough because I just supported the moderator's decision to infract a user for a "group attack" against Republicans.
The problem for me is that moderating LTUP is very complicated and time consuming, and I don't feel up to the task of correcting the moderators. It seems like every day there is some sort of group attack going on. I think it's time for me to re-evaluate that rule and LTUP in general. I'll sit down with the moderators and talk about our practices for moderation there. I believe the forum serves an important purpose but it is taking up too many moderator resources right now. Jim |
