Tough Rab, but good for the bank balance I guess. I'll leave your Tomtit listed for the moment in case you do get the time.

I may get some time to build after all as it looks like I will have to cut one of the jobs loose due to a rue's rule violation.Rues rule #1 never install any parts in a customers car that you wouldn't install in your own.Rue's rule#2 failure to follow rule one will ALLWAYS CAUSE TROUBLE!Rue's rule #3 allways follow rules 1 and2.One of the guys wants me to use cheap parts from a vendor that I don't know and it aint going to happen!

That sounds sensible - avoiding trouble before it comes! Well, sorry if you lose the work but it will be great to see you with some time to build again

I plan to spend some time with the tom this weekend,I won't have time to do the drafting demo on this one though.I may have to stop at staples and take my chances.

Glad to hear you could be back in the game Rabidrue. I've made excellent progress with the Mamba now despite hopping around on one leg, will hopefully be posting on covering and finishing this weekend.

Staples was able to get the size right this time and the tomtitx3 is under way.The fuse sides are 1/8" balsa withe some 1/32ply for doublers, the pylon is 3 layers of 1/8 balsa wraped in 1/32ply with a 3/8sq maple piece at the top for the wing bolts to thread into and laminated spruce leading and trailing edges. The top of the pylon will be fitted with a 1/4 ply wing platform glued and screwed in place. The stab is built up from 1/4" balsa stock and the vertical fin is solid 1/4" sheet.the wings have 3/32 ribs with 1/16 d box sheet and 1/4 sq basswood spars with 1/8 shear webs.I have a ton of photos to post but forgot to bring the memory card this morning!I locked myself in the shop for 2 days and have the fuse, stab, fin and 3 wing panels framed.A couple of 12 hour days will let you get some stuff done.Photos in the morning.
