Everything work good on GUI and on fly.
My frame is a very simple one maked of EPP for the boady and carbon arms.

GUI indicates a Cycle Time=2400

I just broke 3 pins on the board connected to 3 of the 4 ESC to make sure only one ESC power the board.

I uploaded the 1.9 code with arduino 0022 and the following defines:

#define MINTHROTTLE 1300 // for TURNIGY PLUSH 6A
#define QUADX
#define I2C_SPEED 400000L
//#define INTERNAL_I2C_PULLUPS
#define ITG3200
#define ADXL345 // !! beacause the ligth version is NOT BMA0180
#define MAXTHROTTLE 1950

3 pins removed to power fro only one ESC:

No need to cut BEC pins, they wouldn't be connected if it was an issue.

I hope that's anti-static foam you are resting the sensitive electronics on?

Noobie Guide to Software

Having gone thru the learning curve of reflashing my TH-9X transmitter to the ER9X firmware and loading new KK controller firmware on my HK Quadcopter V2 board, I really apppreciated some of the novice guides taking one thru the entire process for these systems...

And...not having any previous knowledge of the Arduino or MultiWii systems, and having ordered a CRIUS MultiWii SE board to upgrade my copter, I did not find a guide in one place with the necessary steps and info....so, I decided to create one....bear in mind that I have NOT yet gone thru the process myself...I am awaiting the board....but since I had to do the research in preparation for its arrival, I decided to put this guide together...

please feel free to point out errors I've made and/or make suggestions for improvements...

I think you have to detach 3 of the 4 red wires of your ESC or remove 3 of 4 red pins on the board to make sure you power the board by only one ESC.

My frame is made of Expanded Polypropyle (EPP), hope it's anti-static...never had issue with it and it saves lot of weight (total weight w/o battery is 135 gr)

is there any documentation that says you cannot plug all 4 esc's into the crius boards?

i would assume they are the same as the KK boards... where it is ok to use multiple power inputs

Looking at the def.h file, it would seem that selecting any board with a 328P will pickup the Promini definitions....so it I think I will leave it be in the guide..

looking thru the config.h file I find these commented out by default:
/* possibility to use PIN8 or PIN12 as the AUX2 RC input
it deactivates in this case the POWER PIN (pin 12) or the BUZZER PIN (pin 8)
*/
//#define RCAUXPIN8
//#define RCAUXPIN12

shouldn't I uncomment one or both to use the second aux input if we aren't using the buzzer or power pin (don't know what that is for anyway)?

Latest version of guide....

Added a lot of setup info....I think that this is what I really needed two days ago when I began researching everything...to avoid the research...

feel free to correct and comment...if it passes muster, maybe we should move it to the first post by Katch

EDIT: Latest guide in post 1
