How can you tell which version is on it already? There's a sticker on the bag mine came in and it says "Crius SE v0.2, MWC 1.9" on it and below that is a red X. So I assume it comes with version 1.9, X-copter. My Hobbyking package still hasn't moved from customs, which is a bit irritating because it usually only takes an hour or two before it's out and it's been a day and a half now. I want to put together this quad, dangit.

If anyone finds the proper config that makes everything work properly, please do post the files and instructions here.

Why not just hookup FTDI and try using it with MultiWiiConf from 1.9? I'd imagine it should come with default PIDs and be usable as-is in quad-x mode. You don't need to reprogram it if it flies..

i think this thread may become a good resource for information on this board... If someone could post a link to the 1.9 MW software and also the FTDI drivers in this thread I think would be very helpful to many

There are two versions of the board, one with gyros, acc, baro, and magnetometer, and a lite version with just gyros and acc.
Thnx for the input Erknie.

I overreact sometimes that's all.

Hi Guys, I just received the SE board with Mag/ Baro / Acc and Gyro..

Loaded Multiconf and it shows data

But... it's in Quad configuration, and i want to fly in X config..

I have downloaded the latest source, and the latest version Arduino to compile and upload the compiled software.

But where to start? this is my first attempt using Multiwii and Arduino..

Can someone please help me, and sure others how to config the 1.9 for this board?
I see a lot of parameters, and it realy confuses me a lot. :S

Many thanks in advance

What i triend is removing the \\'s from the sensors the board is using.

Then tried to compile.. and get this error:
Code:
core.a(HardwareSerial.cpp.o): In function `__vector_19':
C:\arduino-1.0\hardware\arduino\cores\arduino/HardwareSerial.cpp:192: multiple definition of `__vector_19'
MultiWii_1_9.cpp.o:C:\DOCUME~1\PRODUC~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\build4789320479887378942.tmp/MultiWii_1_9.cpp:3325: first defined here
Any ideas?

Download non 1.0 version of arduino (i.e. 0023 should work).
1.0 has some issues addressed in latest -dev but adds more bugs.
Please use old version for now. And download 1.9 from http://code.google.com/p/multiwii/

what i don't understand is the servo plugs that are given with the board
I have (2x) one male plug to three male plugs as in the pic and one male plug to one male plug
Any Ideas where they go ??
I just used the plug to plug cables from my cheap kk board, still cant get the motors to spin up yet though

Ok, everything connected, RC inputs seem to work, but i can not arm the ESC's

Is there any good guide how to set up ESC's properly? and which config lines have to be adjusted?

-EDIT-

Finaly got it working.. it was due the small stickranges the board wouldnt bind
I've stretched the endpoints to 120 for Aileron and Yaw and set the midstick value to 1530, due my Fut orangex RX's spit 1530uS out for midstick.

Did add the motor stop function too, liked it from the KK's

1. Arm
2. Gyro stick cal.
3. Acc stick cal.
4. FLY!!!

Now rest to tweak the board and test it's sensors..
First getting some vibs out 1 motor.

BTW i mounted mine on a 22cm Microquad

(now where too look where i put my box with BT-RS232 boards :S )

Hi there

I used all 3 leads.

1 The standard servo female-female lead into battery on my spectrum rx and conneced it to a spare DXX port on the board. This gives power to the RX and also commons the grounds.

2 The other 2 leads I connected horizontally across all 6 channels SIGNAL wires on the rx. Then the single signal wires onto the channel port signal ports on the board

Hope that helps

David

Just received my "MWC MultiWii Lite lightweight version 4-axis flight control board" from Ebay.
Everything work good on GUI and on fly.
My frame is a very simple one maked of EPP for the boady and carbon arms.

GUI indicates a Cycle Time=2400

I just broke 3 pins on the board connected to 3 of the 4 ESC to make sure only one ESC power the board.

I uploaded the 1.9 code with arduino 0022 and the following defines:

#define MINTHROTTLE 1300 // for TURNIGY PLUSH 6A
#define QUADX
#define I2C_SPEED 400000L
//#define INTERNAL_I2C_PULLUPS
#define ITG3200
#define ADXL345 // !! beacause the ligth version is NOT BMA0180
#define MAXTHROTTLE 1950

3 pins removed to power fro only one ESC:

GUI

Ordered MWC 1.9 SE from Vocanlo on Ebay Dec 7th for $69.

Does it come with a copy of the software config? .

I would want to back up the config it comes with before mucking around with the code.

Is there a way to do that?

Even getting hard copy of the settings in config.h would be better than nothing.

I am also wondering about the method for hooking the Crius SE board up to PPM from the HK FrSky D4R telemetry RX?

Patiently waiting on another slow boat from China.

Hope the boat escapes the Pirates of the South China Sea.
I wonder what Pirates would do with a boatload of Goodluckbuy, dealextreme etc stuff?

Ray

tip: Don't buy ebay stuff if the seller has "pirate" in his name

I order an MWC 1.9 SE to

Hi,

I Ordered MWC 1.9 SE from Vocanlo on Ebay to.
volcano responds well to questions posed by mail. But if you demand that you want to delivery with EMS, customs takes 25 %of prices of items

Then i have demanded to volcano that delivery the card with airmail. nom there is 1 month waiting

This is just the time for you post your feedback
