Here's another video of this board and the F450 frame in action. I'm testing Gemfan 8x4.5 props on it, they handle better in the wind but the thrust is not quite as good as the 10" APC props I used earlier. It climbs nowhere near as good at full throttle, but that might have been the weather, it was -10° C today so I need to test these again later. Most of the wobble is gone too, hooray!

Ok guys. I have a question related to an issue I am having with the throttle. Since I have been tweaking this Crius board, I have noticed the throttle range is not real great. I have the end points set as far as they can go, and the board set up correctly, having the throttle centred at 1500 roughly. All seems good. But if I go to kick the throttle in to power the quad to gain serious altitude it just doesn't have the guts for some reason.
I suspect this is a board issue because before I had the Crius on this frame I had a Gaui 3444 FC and it would charge off into the sky no issues. Which brings me to my next question. For the Gaui344 FC You had to set your throttle range from -100 to +80, and leave the extra 20% for the controller and extra thrust. Should you do something similar for this Crius FC as well? I am about to reset my ESCs as this is the last thing I can think off. I mean sometimes the quad goes up OK, but seems to loose serious altitude for no reason as well. This is with the barometer off totally. Does anyone have any thoughts on why this may be happening? |

Guys, I'm frustrated and could use a hand.
I picked up a micro quad and can't get it set up with my Spektrum transmitter and receiver. It's a DX-7 and a6100e rx. Flight controller: MWC MultiWii SE Standard Edition 4-axis Flight Control Board QUADX w/ FTDI Basic Breakout 4 Turnigy plush 10A escs 4 10g 2000kV motors. I've downloaded the wii 1.9 and ran it. I've set the rates on the transmitter up, set the escs individually for throttle range. I can't get the ESCs to stop beeping when everything is hooked back up to the flight controller. It sounds like the throttle is too high and they won't arm. Can anyone bail me out, I can't figure this out.

This last time, I dedid everything and hooked up to the FC and the escs all stopped beeping (armed?) but none of the sticks including throttle have any effect. How does one set minimum throttle? |

I am well versed in lipo/bushless tech, but these control boards are totally new to me. My goal is to get an x525 frame. But not sure what board to get. I want to get a multi wii so that I have have the self center mode on until I get used to it. After that, I will switch the mode off.
Now I have a few other questions. (if you don't mind me asking!) Can somebody please tell me what the difference is between these boards? #1 http://www.goodluckbuy.com/mwc-multi...breakout-.html #2 http://www.goodluckbuy.com/mwc-multi...ard-quadx.html #3 http://www.goodluckbuy.com/mwc-multi...breakout-.html #4 http://www.goodluckbuy.com/mwc-multi...ard-quadx.html #5 http://www.goodluckbuy.com/multiwiic...er-board-.html And I noticed these looked way different: #6 http://www.goodluckbuy.com/mwc-multi...opter-red.html #7 http://www.goodluckbuy.com/mwc-multi...uadcopter.html And finally, what are these? #8 http://www.goodluckbuy.com/mwc-multi...er-module.html #9 http://www.goodluckbuy.com/ftdi-basi...i-lite-se.html THANKS so much!!!!!! |

your links dont work... but all multiwii boards are pretty much the same just from different manufacturers. some of them have built in usb and some need an ftdi adapter to hook to a computer.
the "lite" board is gyro and acc only. no baro or mag. but it still flies great |

oops, didn't realize that happened! I'm basically going to use one of these boards on my x525 quad. I'm looking for one that has an auto-level feature that can be later turned off once I get used to it.

These are not Crius specific issues you are raising, it's common to most boards with the Multiwii firmware, however If you read this thread from the start, all these things have been answered before, and this thread is way shorter than the Multiwii ones! |
