I did a few things differently on my second. I reinforced the landing gear slot with epoxy. this was the first thing to break on the first one (after I smacked it into the ground of course). other thing was that I used welders for the tail hinges. the slots were just a little too wide for thin ca, but the welders filled them nicely and they seem very strong.

Hey guys, very excited, my build is complete and just fine tuning. Some pain points were installing the control horns into the pre-cut slots, motor mount screws - it was easier to hold the motor so the bracket was inside the compartment but close to the opening then insert the screws then press the motor against the firewall, line up the holes and screw in. Also I used long throw arms on my servo and it took awhile to get things so I had no servo stress at any position. All and all not a bad build.
My purchase experience was fantastic, Rob at ADChobbystore was great to deal with and very responsive, thanks Rob! Question: I have a dx6i, what are you all using for radio settings on dual rates. Can we get a discussion on what some of you are using? Thanks |

And yes, regular CA and Welders will eat the inner foam on this plane. However, I built mine as-per the manual with CA on the hinges and it hasn't caused me any problems. Just don't use a ton of thin CA anywhere, or if you must, use foam safe.
