Actually, the star in the pic is freq (Chris). I think he bought some Home Depot foam and just hacked it out.

A fine model and flyer too! I can see why a man should look that proud when holding his model. Rock on!

Ben,
Did Chris glass the fuselage to get rid of the tail twist of the 3DX?

No, he reinforced the joint between the wing and fuse, and stab and fuse.

Yikes! It's like seeing your picture in the paper. The star of the shot is the plane, not the pilot, for sure!

Tim H is to thank for this beaut of a design, called the 3DX. He's been kind enough to provide the plans for free at www.foamyfactory.com and the 3-part extravaganza of a thread, along with the fanfold Ultimate Bipe.

A Razor Micro Heli V2 hauls mine around, sucking juice from 8xKAN650 or 3xEtec1200, for 20+ minutes of pure, in-your-face 3D fun. Honestly one of the coolest (and certainly cheapest) planes I've flown.

Cool pics, Ben. I had to reach too far for the "landing", though. Notice the slick "reach across the TX and antenna" technique.

Tim,

Thanks for the reply, I've always meaning to ask you. How does your Edge foam 3D plane performs. I printed out the plans, I printed the one that house a mega 3T,gb.

Thanks,
genovia
