hoping to do some more mods and testing this week but looking at the weather forcast its pretty unlikely!
high winds everyday and 50mph gusts on friday!!

Forgot to mention ive moved the Aframe forwards abit more so ive got full forward -base bar stops about 2mm from the front strut
and full back- stops just short of the pilots chest.

didnt have much back movement before so couldnt really bring angle of attack down much or speed up the wing,
be interesting to see how it reacts

Mark the on-board video was nice and smooth, with the prop behind the camera there is no interference nice job did you have 2 cameras I saw to different angles. Can't wait to see a plan.I have a kite already to adapt for this project.

thanks Bill, yeah i was suprised how smooth it was when i watched it back!
theres only one camera but i landed and changed its position

just bought two 'keychain HD cameras' off ebay which are lightweight and tiny and not bad quality for £6 each so looking forward to putting them in some different places on the trike and wing for some interesting views and also to see what some bits are doing in flight to try and learn more about whats happening, spring mounted steering arms and movement in the wing for example.

ive also ordered a slightly bigger prop to test so i can try and get abit more climb rate,
this 'ex radian' motor seems slightly under powered though so might end up getting a higher kv motor and bigger esc


Ive also been talking to a well known magazine about doing a writeup on this microlight and they seem very interested,
even wanting to publish some free plans but we'll see how it works out

Those keychain cameras are good....I've used one on model aeroplanes and autogyros. I found you have to get them as far away from the motor as you can or you get "waves" in the film at some RPM's. One one each wing tip might do it though!!

had abit of a delay on the plans cus ive got a magazine interested in doing a writeup and some free plans in the centre pages of one of their issues.

we'll see how that goes though!

got my two hd keychain cameras today though so can do some interesting views of the wing etc

Mark, I hope you have secured the "Real Deal" with the magazine! At this time of the year every penny helps!. Congratulations, ( and don't sell yourself short as it's a great design!!!)

ive got to meet up with the guy so he can get pics etc and ill let u know when i get any news

ive been offered a good price for the plans and writeup (good considering im not doing this to make money)
but got lots of people telling me not to give up the design cus ill regret it

imo ive got what i wanted out of this project.. a realistic looking/flying microlight that i can have fun with and i want other people to have fun with them aswell.
i dont want to be working my a#s off making kits as ive got a full time job and a family too so would rather just draw up the plans for someone else

hoping to get some keychain videos this weekend if the weather plays ball

What magazine it gets posted to and if the fittings will be avaliable. Looks great.

havent spoke to the magazine again since my last email,
had a good think about it over christmas and im not too keen on releasing the plans to a magazine really,
im more than happy for a writeup and detailed pics as was my original idea for contacting the magazine in the first place but thats it.

someones already copied my microlight which im not fussed about (infact its flattering) but claiming it as their idea and design is the part that really bugs me
i spent 3 years of learning, designing and making this for someone to come and claim credit for it!
anyway enough of that..
had a lovely fly with mine again yesterday as it was calm for an hour or two in the morning,
forgot my keychain cam though so couldnt get anymore footage yet,
hopefully have another calm morning this week to go play
loving it more everytime i fly it

That seems to happen a lot I do copy the ideas of a lot of things I find here and there on the Group but I always give credit where credit it do and add something of myself too, It may help or it may hinder but at least we gave it our all.And in the end we may both benefit from putting or ideas together. I hope you will shear your project with those of us who care.
